“Ideally located to explore East Yorkshire”

Great Hatfield is a picturesque village having the excellent Wrygarth Pub/Restaurant close by. The village has a wonderful countryside feel where it is not unusual to share the roads with horses, magnificent peacocks and curious chickens.

The pretty coastal town of Hornsea is just 4 miles away and has a long, wide, safe sandy beach and an attractive promenade with well kept gardens. The bustling town centre has an old fashioned feel with a good variety of small shops, pubs and cafes, whilst nearby Hornsea Mere is the largest natural lake in Yorkshire. Hornsea Freeport is popular for shopping; whilst nearby Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve have one of the largest mainland puffin populations in Britain. Hornsea provides a good base for touring the Yorkshire Wolds, the North York Moors and the East Riding coastal resorts. The cottages are ideally placed for exploring the heritage Yorkshire coastline with the bustling resort of Bridlington and Flamborough Head all close by. The picturesque market town of Beverley is 12 miles away where you can enjoy a day out at the races or look around the stunning Minster. Hatfield Chapels are ideally located for visiting Burton Constable and Wassand Hall and a little further afield Sledmere or Sewerby Hall. Similarly the location is great for sampling the numerous golf courses within the region, the nearest being Hornsea. For a more cosmopolitan day out the City of Hull is just 13 miles away.
